At Distil, we believe in nurturing creativity and supporting the vibrant freelance community in Sydney. That's why we're excited to launch our new initiative: Distil Open House. Starting this August, we're opening our studio space to eight freelancers or recent graduates - across two days, offering a unique opportunity to work in a creative environment, seek portfolio guidance and network with other talented designers.
What is Distil Open House?
Distil Open House is our way of giving back to the creative community. We understand the challenges freelancers and new graduates face, from finding an inspiring workspace to connecting with industry peers. By leveraging our unused office space, we're creating a platform where budding creatives can thrive.
Applications are now open for our trial days on:

What We Offer:

Free Desk Space: Enjoy a comfortable and inspiring workspace in our Distil studio.

High-Speed Internet: Stay connected and productive with our reliable internet.

Meeting Room Access: Utilize our meeting room for presentations or discussions.
Schedule:

8:30 am: Meet & Greet with the Distil team.

9:00 am - 12:30 pm: Independent work time.

12:30 pm: Pub lunch or group Uber order & eat in the park (individuals pay for their lunch).

1:45 pm - 3:30 pm: Independent work time.

3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: 'Happy hour' with the Distil team (hosted by Social Lead Mandi Barton).

4:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Independent work time.
This is not an internship or a paid work opportunity. Distil will not be providing work or creative briefs. Instead, this initiative is designed to offer a chance to work in a creative office environment free of charge.
Why Are We Doing This?
Our goal is to fill a unique niche in Sydney by offering free workspace and networking opportunities. We want to support the local freelance and creative community. Our space isn't state of the art, super modern or fancy. But we are a good group of down to earth people, who have a few spare desks. Why not share the space?
