No Standing (Di)stil

The Distil team is, along with 5 million other Sydneysiders, currently in week 6 of lockdown with another 4 weeks to go.

I don’t think we’re the only ones being guilty of moving from bed to home office, to the couch and back to bed again (with a few kitchen breaks in between, of course) and it was about time we all got moving.

So, for team bonding and in an attempt to maintain our sanity, we have decided to participate in a team fitness challenge and fundraiser in August.

We all know that exercise is great for our wellbeing and mental health but we will also take this opportunity to raise funds for the important mental health organisation R U OK?. They do some wonderful work in educating people on how to help others, as well as breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.

6 of us, well 9 if you include our office dogs, will be walking/ running 100km throughout the month of August.
One of our team members will be committing to doing 10,000 steps per day. And another team member will be putting us all to shame by doing a whopping 100/km per week!

We understand this is a tough time for many people both mentally and financially, so if you are doing it tough, please don’t feel obliged to donate - we would just love more than anything if you would check in on your mates and take care of yourself. Reaching out to someone just to ask how they are going can mean the world in times like this and show that you care.
