Finding free fonts, especially for commercial use (aka open-source fonts) can be a real challenge. There are a lot of free fonts out there, usually for personal use, and these can often be poor quality. We’ve compiled our favourite free font sites for commercial use in 2021. If you’re on a budget, this is the blog for you!

The League of Moveable Type
These guys provide a collection of open-source fonts, along with a pretty impressive portfolio of companies who have used them. With the likes of Instagram, Barbie, Warner Bros, 7 Eleven and even Lady Gaga having clicked that download button, you might want to check them out.
Font Fabric
These free fonts come with a Simple Licensing that is pretty broad, including use for print, logos, websites and digital ads. You’ll just need to get in touch if you need a custom license for broadcasting, game or corporate!
Type Type - Free Fonts Project
The Free Fonts Project by Type Type features an attractive range of fonts for commercial use. Created by Ivan Gladkikh in 2008, their mission is to make fonts more popular and available for a broad range of users.
Google Fonts
With over a thousand open-source fonts available, we really can’t leave out the good ol’ classic Google Fonts. They really do show us that their quest to make the web more beautiful, fast and open doesn’t stop at typography!
